Forex analysis: USDCAD

USDCAD: Weekly-chart

As always, if I want to analyze a pair of currencies, I first get an overview in the larger timeframes. Here we see the USDCAD Weekly-chart, more precisely a period from 2012 to today.
You can also see directly without great analysis that we are in a clean uptrend. I highlighted this in the chart by highlighting the highs and lows. Nice to see how they are always surpassed. So we are looking for long-entries to trade with the big uptrend.
In addition to the highs and lows, I have also drawn an interesting level (light green). Now we look at the Daily-chart to see more details in our Forex analysis.

USDCAD: Daily-chart

Now we only see the upward movement since the last low point. Why did I draw a level here (light green)? Quite simply: the course had three times problems to move over this area. This was a resistance level. Now we see that the course has now managed to exceed this level. In addition, it looks like the course will return to the level. Here, too, I expect a psychological effect. Psychology is such important in Forex analysis. This time, however, as a support. In this area, I will look for long entry for trades. We'll see what happens.
